Mymoney software11/4/2022 Planning for retirement Matthew’s hobbies include scuba diving It’s not proving easy as many people are trying to withdraw their money at the moment and there’s either a waiting list, or I have to wait until a borrower pays back the money loaned to them, which can then be returned to investors. I’ve also got a couple of thousand in peer-to-peer lending, but I’m trying to get my money out. Essentially this means I am likely to ride out market uncertainty more, as I will buy when markets are both up and down. I drip-feed money into my investment accounts to take advantage of pound cost averaging. It was an easy way to make a bit of money. I also have an account with the investment app Nutmeg, which I opened when the company was doing a cashback offer of £200. My Lifetime Isa is currently up around 18 per cent and a significant amount of that growth can be attributed to one fund – Baillie Gifford’s American fund – which is up almost 90 per cent. I invest through a stocks and shares Isa, and put the maximum I can into my Lifetime Isa. I choose funds that track global indices and have quite a few Baillie Gifford funds, which are currently performing well. Mymoney software free#Most of my savings are invested in the stock market, going into funds rather than individual shares. This is because it’s cheaper or free to buy funds than it is to buy shares, and it also means my money is more diversified. How I Manage my Money: A PR and outreach executive on £22,000 a year Investing in the stock market I loved living in Oxford, but obviously it’s expensive and I’d like to buy a house rather than a flat because I’m nervous about taking on a leasehold property and I don’t want to have to worry about service charges. I don’t see the point of buying right now because first-time buyers get a stamp duty holiday anyway, so I don’t have an advantage against other buyers with the current stamp duty break. Ideally I’d like to buy a property within the next three years. The other thing I like about the Lifetime Isa is that the bonus is paid directly into your account monthly so you can earn interest or invest the money straight away (unlike the help to buy Isa, where the bonus is paid once the property transaction goes ahead). I opened a Help to Buy Isa as soon as they were launched in 2015, and transferred the savings to a Lifetime Isa, which has a more generous government bonus, when it launched in 2017. I was able to take advantage of the opening deal where you could put £1,200 in as the first lump sum.Īt the time there was no cash option for the Lifetime Isa, but as I’d already had some experience of investing I was happy to pick the investment option. Since starting work it’s been my long-term aim to buy a property, and I would describe myself as a saver. These are just some of the many reasons why compensating employees with phantom stock is a good idea. The higher up an executive is, the more phantom stock they’ll receive based on their team’s performance. Performance: Phantom stock is often given to executives and senior leadership to encourage them to produce better results.By issuing phantom stock, you can provide employees with many of the benefits of real stock without cutting the value of your organization’s common stock by giving employees more voting power. Prevent dilution: Offering real stock options to every employee can dilute your company’s stock and make them less valuable. This is because they’ll see their hard work pay off when they’re issued higher-priced phantom stock. In turn, the better the company’s performance, the more loyal employees will be. Loyalty: As we mentioned, issuing phantom stock can encourage employees to work harder and boost productivity. With phantom stock, you can skip some of the legal processes associated with providing real stock. Legality: Issuing real stock often requires more legal work, such as signing a shareholder’s agreement, which can increase the fees you pay.Motivation: Do you want to motivate your employees? Phantom stock is a way for you to reward high-performing executive employees for the work they’re doing.Take a look at some of the benefits that can arise when you provide a phantom stock plan as a private company: There are several reasons why it may be wise to implement phantom stock into your organization’s compensation package. Phantom stock is based on the rise and fall of an employer’s common stock without giving the employee any equity ownership. Phantom stock is not real stock, which means an employee receiving it isn’t getting any ownership of the company. Payments can be made as a lump sum or installments. Payment can also be received if the employee is terminated, passes away, retires, or becomes disabled. It will depend on the stipulations written in the agreement. In most cases, payment is deferred between two and five years after the agreement is made. They are often flexible, making them an excellent form of compensation if offering real stock isn’t an option.īecause phantom stock is a type of deferred compensation plan, it’s awarded after a delay mechanism, which is a set date where an employee will be paid their share of phantom stock. These deferred compensation plans are usually tailored to senior executives and higher-up staff. The award amount is frequently tracked in the form of hypothetical units, also known as “phantom” shares, that resemble a company’s actual stock price. Phantom stock, also known as shadow stock, is a type of stock plan that offers an employee a cash award equivalent to a certain number or fraction of a company’s shares, multiplied by the current share price. Throughout this post, you’ll find information on what a phantom stock plan is, how phantom stock is different from real stock, how phantom stock works, phantom stock pros and cons, and how it can benefit your company. He shared with me a five-step plan for creating a phantom stock program that will incentivize top employee performance without sacrificing control of your company. Tom Miller, founder and president of VisionLink Advisory Group, is an expert at helping CEOs set up long-term incentive plans that create that crucial alignment between employee and employer goals. The best CEOs are finding more creative and motivating ways to attract the best talent, encourage high performance, and leverage those assets for BIG results. Millennial employees in particular want to feel like the work they’re doing, their company’s progress, and the way everyone makes money are all reinforcing each other and building towards a common good. And in today’s hyper-competitive job market, that means CEOs have to offer more than just BIGGER numbers on a paycheck. Be more chill musical11/3/2022 Since the first run of Be More Chill, Blake Patrick Anderson has wowed audiences in online productions, including the Hope Mill Theatre’s Rent, but it’s as Michael Mell we see the breadth of talent on offer. (Keanu Reeve), played with wonderful menace by Stewart Clarke. Folan works well with the personification of his S.Q.U.I.P. No more so than in a simply outstanding performance from Scott Folan, who perfectly portrays teenage angst as Jeremy, with a hunched frame accentuating the character’s vulnerability and anxiety, while at the same time belting out unbelievably complex songs. #Be more chill musical skinUnder the direction of Stephen Brackett, this time round the cast seem more…well…chill, it feels like they have experimented more with their characters and really got inside the skin of them. The transfer to a such a large stage does could have made it feel lacking in places, but overall, it manages to retain much of the intimate feel it had at The Other Palace, while bursting with energy at every turn. It serves as a backdrop to a small cast, many of whom multi-role. This definition of a very modern musical has a set comprised of a large electronic screen, the initial graphics, which represent homes and the school hallways, are reminiscent of a Game Boy, later becoming more advanced to represent Jeremy’s altered mental state. Despite the wackiness of it all, Joe Tracz’s book makes it all feel entirely natural, and the audience can immediately accept the sci fi premise and focus on the intelligent and heart-warming story. Yes, it’s by no means a conventional musical story arc, but as we emerge from this prolonged period of isolation, perhaps it’s time to look beyond the conventional. Jeremy, and best friend Michael, are the outcasts who no one pays attention to, and while Michael accepts this, Jeremy desperately wants to climb the social ladder and find the courage to ask Christine to go out with him. The well-developed characters are high school seniors, attempting to fit in, be noticed, and tentatively take the first steps to adulthood. This is a musical that speaks directly to a younger demographic. Joe Iconis’ intoxicating score has attracted a dedicated following, and seeing Be More Chill again, I’m reminded why. The musical’s original outing in New Jersey was quickly followed by a cast recording, which received so many downloads, an off-Broadway and Broadway run soon followed. The original London cast returns for this version of the Broadway hit, based on the novel by Ned Vizzini. But as theatre reopens, so too does Be More Chill and at the West End’s Shaftesbury Theatre, albeit for a limited run. Of course, that was before its record breaking run was tragically cut short by the pandemic. When Be More Chill opened at The Other Palace in 2019, we suggested that, like its central character, the musical might be keen on an upgrade, with a transfer to a larger West End theatre almost assured by its growing fan base. Research and development of Camellia oleifera fruit sheller and sorting machine Rubber roll wear depends on the type of rubber material attached to the roller, feed rate, roller speed, pressure etc. Rice breakage depends on several other parameters like the type of harvest, drying temperature, drying methods, physical characteristics of paddy, husking characteristics, paddy moisture content, rubber roller speed, rubber roll pressure, paddy feed rate and fissures. Hence, for efficient husking the rubber roll material should possess the balance of physico-mechanical properties. Wear will be minimum for rubber material with high hardness but indeed it pronounce the breakage of rice. If the rubber material is too soft, there may not be sufficient shear force to husk the paddy. In this process, rubber roll sheller is used to remove husk from the grains by friction process. The main objective of rice milling system is to remove the husk and bran layer to produce the white rice. Optimization resulted in operating conditions of 9.5%wb moisture content, clearance of 6 mm, and roller speed of 750 rpm. Roller speed affected shelling capacity, whole kernel recovery, and energy utilization of the extruder. The clearance affected response variables except energy utilization of the extruder. Evaluation and optimization considered moisture content, clearance, and roller speed as independent parameters while the responses comprised of recovery, bulk density factor, shelling capacity, energy utilization of sheller, whole kernel recovery, oil recovery, and energy utilization by extruder.Moisture content failed to affect the response variables. the sheller, two people supply maize cobs to the person feeding and remove .ĭesign, Fabrication, and Optimization of Jatropha Shellerĭirectory of Open Access Journals (Sweden)įull Text Available A study designed, fabricated, and optimized performance of a jatropha sheller, consisting of mainframe, rotary cylinder, stationary cylinder, transmission system. Perception swifty deluxe 115 kayak11/2/2022 It is a well built, feature rich kayak that will serve me well for many years to come! I have been paddling it now for a couple of seasons. For me, this boat is a perfect crossover. This boat serves a primary use as a day-tripper, since I still own another kayak for extended touring and rougher, bigger water conditions, though this boat could be used for a night out on the river with room in the stern hatch and copious amount of space up in the bow for dry bags. Also, the skeg does not need to be fully deployed to be effective, just drop what is needed to keep tracking in check. With the included skeg, this boat tracks like an arrow when conditions are right to use it. It paddles extremely well in calm to faster moving water, wind and chop, and even in big lake rollers. Paddling small to large inland lakes, streams and rivers, and even our Great Lakes. I live in Michigan and primarily use it around our State. I had been looking to purchase a kayak that could perform well in many paddling conditions. I think this is a unique kayak filling a market niche that other manufacturers have missed. My modifications have shifted the focus closer to touring kayak and away from rec kayak. It is really a great kayak and fun to paddle. I added a float bag sourced from NRS to the bow to increase flotation and displace water in case of a capsize. It forces you to use better paddling mechanics and makes it easier to use a spray skirt and facilitates self rescues. I replaced it with a back band sourced from Perception that I find more comfortable than the high back seat. I don't like the high back seat because it interferes with spray skirts and gets in the way if you have to do a self rescue. It is far more capable than the typical rec kayak, being built like a touring kayak. It also makes it very maneuverable and agile while the drop-down skeg makes it track straight and true, something that many short kayaks don't do well. Its small size and light weight make it easy to handle, transport and launch. Gmt vs utc time11/2/2022 Most people often think world time zones are negative or positive offsets from UTC. In some situations where fractions of second are not really that important, GMT may be safely assumed as equivalent to UTC. It can therefore be assumed that UTC is a standard that is more internet-based, while GMT is more country-based. Although GMT and UTC differs in a mere fraction of a second, this difference is considered very important when it comes to scientific matters. Even the Network Time Protocol which synchronizes clocks of several computers connected through the internet utilizes UTC. Global positioning systems or GPS also use UTC as their time reference. I'd always go with UTC, though, as you mention, as long as you're consistent. It's also based on atomic clocks and takes into account the necessary leap seconds every few years. For the World Wide Web and Internet, however, UTC is more preferred. UTC became the official standard back in 1972. Several countries such as Belgium, United Kingdom, Canada and Ireland make use of GMT. Leap seconds are then added to compensate for Earth’s irregular shape, rotation and other factors. To determine the ITC, the BIPM in Paris utilizes data gathered from atomic clocks which are strategically positioned in timing laboratories all over the globe. UTC though is the time scale that is proposed by the International Bureau of Weights and Measures or BIPM to be the official basis for international time. The GMT is based upon astronomical observations and is used mainly by those connected to the UK like BBC World Services, the Met Office and the British Royal Navy. As a compromise, the two parties agreed to adapt UTC which seemed fair to both. This is because the English would give us the acronym CUT while the French Temps Universel Coordonné gives us TUC. Some might wonder how Coordinated Universal Time came to be becomes UTC in acronym. The UTC, however, is based on the International Atomic time or TAI. GMT is the time that the Royal Observatory located in Greenwich, London and is referred to as mean solar time. GMT (Greenwich Mean Time) and UTC (Coordinated Universal Time) are the two references for telling time all over the planet. AuthorWrite something about yourself.
